Bell Cornwall Recruitment has been instructed on a fantastic opportunity with an Investment Management firm based in Birmingham City Centre. Our client is seeking a Team Administrator to join the company on a 6 month Contract to provide efficient secretarial and administrative support.
You will be required to act as a resource for the team, showing a willingness to learn and take on and additional work as requested by the team. Your duties will include:
- Preparation of detailed reports and presentations
- Diary-coordination, organising meetings (internal and external) and attending meetings where necessary
- Answering incoming telephone calls and dealing with general enquiries
- Database upkeep and management (Quarrier)
- General file maintenance (filing, archiving), distributing and franking daily post
Due to the nature of this role it is essential that applicants have strong skills with Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook) and a minimum of 18 months commercial experience. The ideal candidate will also posses strong written and verbal communication skills, fast accurate typing skills (60wpm minimum) and the energy and enthusiasm for achieving set objectives to a high standard. Candidates must be able to effectively balance priorities and demonstrate the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

As a Graduate Resourcer you will be commercially minded and possess exceptional customer service skills. Your responsibilities will be varied and you will be expected to work in both a proactive and reactive manner, some responsibilities include:
- Assisting with candidate generation through job advertising across a range of mediums (job boards, social media networks Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc)
- Screening applications using telephone-based interviewing techniques
- Matching candidates to live job opportunities
- Booking appointments into the diaries of Senior Consultants
- Database inputting (setting up new jobs, candidate updates, call logging)
- Confidently dealing with telephone and email enquiries
Candidates who will excel in the position will have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, solid research skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. You will ideally be educated to (or studying for) a Degree-level qualification and enjoy working autonomously, showing initiative whenever possible.
Working hours are to be 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (School Holidays Only)

Our client, a leading national firm, is looking to recruit an experienced legal secretary to join their Banking Litigation team.
Your main duty will be to provide an excellent standard of secretarial support to the large team of fee earners in that department. You will be working closely with the rest of the secretarial team and so you must be a strong team player with a helpful and motivated attitude.
Your skills and other duties will include –
- The management of a large number of fee earner’s diaries
- Experience in audio typing using digital dictation
- Assisting with the preparation of trial bundles and papers for court
- Dealing with telephone calls in a professional and helpful manner
- Excellent organisational skills
- A solid legal background
- Take pride in your work and appearance – always working to a high degree of accuracy
